Finally! Seems like it's been ages since my last Allure Beauty Box post. Today it's going to be purely an unboxing - I wanted to be fair since I would not have been able to test out everything and still get this out before all the provided July discount codes expire but I will mention there are two products here that I have previously owned and they're both products I like. As you may or may not remember, since it's been so damn long, I was thinking about canceling my Allure Beauty Box subscription a while back but decided to stay on for a few more months since they offered me a temporary discount for four months. Somehow in all that back and forth emailing I think what happened is that they cancelled or suspended my account and then reactivated it for the discount to be applied and somehow that made me miss the July box. The July box in particular was one that I was looking forward to since there were a few items in that one that I really wanted to try so I had to email customer service again and ask for them to send it to me and thankfully they did so without any fuss. Because of that though it means we've got two boxes to go over today and a lot of products so let's just dive right in!

Okay, now on to the values. My estimated total value for the July box is $50.38 and my estimated total value for the August box is $69.28 (you can see how I got these numbers by clicking here if you so desire). The values are pretty on par compared to the other five Allure Beauty Boxes I've received but the February Box had the best value by a long shot at around $100. Looking back at all of my Allure Beauty Boxes, plus taking into account the crappy customer service, I would not recommend this subscription service unless you regularly like the items within at least a six month period. Most of the time I still get my monies worth just from the items I do like but taking into consideration how much I end up giving away from this specific subscription box it's not worth it for me personally and I am going to cancel once my price goes back up. Customer service is important to me and in the few short months that the Nylon Box has been available I've had several interactions with their CS team and they are so much more responsive, friendly and helpful than Allure. The Nylon Box is more expensive as well and I don't need both so I would rather have the one with better customer service. Because I didn't try anything new out I looked up the ingredients on a lot of the items so I could warn you about any possible irritants since I didn't get to test them on myself so I do hope that was helpful.
